The issue about and the resolution regarding actors’ invasion of privacy will take years before anyone can see any sign of progress, if at all. Obviously, a lot are at stake. Tabloid publishers got a gossip and rumour hungry audience numbering in the millions to consider. Paparazzi as a career continues to break new grounds and as collaborators, the celebrity gossip bloggers need more scandals to spread around, with photos added for dramatic effect.
To those who want to maintain the status quo, their argument: since you desperately want to become rich and famous, you just need to ‘get used to it’.
To an actor like Rob, getting used to it, requires the help of his talent manager and/or agent and the employment of celebrity bodyguards. Perhaps one might add, an actor like Rob might need the services of a Psychiatrist, a Nutrionist, an experienced fortune teller and/or horoscope reader and adviser, an athletic trainor and a personal secretary to handle his financial, personal and creative needs. I forgot! how about a Personal Physician, to monitor his health and sign for the much-needed prescription drugs?
What’s on your mind? Should the media (particularly the gossip tabloids and magazines) respect an artist’s right to privacy? Or is it justified for them to speculate and spread rumours and gossip about an actor since he is already aware that all of these are ‘part of the culture’? Is it also justified for a celebrity blogger like Perez Hilton to reveal information about an actor for the sake of ‘entertainment’, security, privacy and health concerns, notwithstanding?

OK i think the tabloids should not spread rumors but that’s why they call them tabloids and about Perez Hilton should respect their privacy if they wanted the public too know where they were going to be then they would of told the public there should be a law where the paparazzi should not be able to tell the whereabouts about celebrity’s after all with out the celebrity’s the tabloids would not have a story except to talk about aliens lol
I strongly feel actors need there privacy and not be hounded with false accusations. I, as a fan, want to know the true things about an actor/actress. I hate having to sift through all the garbage to find what may or may not be true. It’s jsut a pure waste of energy from all involved.
I also think the celebrity’s need privacy, the paparazzi always speak garbage of famous actors to earn money and talk trash about them
When I look at some of the pics/videos taken of Rob by the paparazzi, my heart just goes out to him. He is a 23 year old kid who has found overnight success and these crazies cannot leave him alone. To be as young as he is, I applaud him for his maturity. The obsession needs to end – we have all seen what overly zealous papparazzi can cause – the death of Princess Diana – (not that Rob’s will be as frenzied, but sometimes I wonder). Although when one enters into a profession that throws them into the public eye, some fan following is to be expected, but the complete invasion of privacy and the inuendo and rumors need to stop. These celebrities are human beings just like the rest of us and we need to stop feeding off of the dirty (or clean) laundry of the rich and the famous. It is because of the crazy, obsessive fanatics that have caused some celebrities to become recluses and what kind of life is that for them? It’s not fair and we need to leave them alone. We need to appreciate them for their talent and what they give to world and we need to appreciate them in the right fashion.
Let Rob be the 23 year old that he needs to be and let him have as much of a life as he can in the profession that he has chosen. I would hate to see anything horrendous happen to him. He has such talent and promise and so much to offer that he needs to be given that opportunity without feeling smothered!
In my opinion, we, as fans, don’t have to right to know everything about our idols, we are just entitled to the little things they are willing to share with us. I think it is disrespectful and stupid to run around screaming after them. Maybe we should try to put ourselves in their shoes for a moment. Would we like to be harressed, photographed and talked about all the time? No, we wouldn’t! As much as we love Robert or, should i say his character, we should respect him and his world because if we, fans, don’t start doing that, we are seriously putting him at risk. If we stop obssessing about him, then the tabloids would probably give up on creating rumors and spreading lies.
omg they need to stop saying bad things about rob!!! how do they know about robs life?!!! itz not them living hiz life!!! so if u r nt robert pattenson then stop talking crap bout him!!!! grrrr poor rob he needs to b able to live hiz life how ever he freaking wants tew!!!!!!!!! uggghhhh i am sooo mad!!!! he needz hiz freaking privacy people!!!! grrr
I really think that the paparazzi have to stop!!!….I mean they are destroying his life. He need privacy, he is a human like us…. I don´t want more rubbish about rob!!!!!
i think they should lay off they give false information and lead alot of us fans to believe things that aren’t even true its frustrating and none of the fans like to Rob and everyone else from twilight be attacked by the paparazzi but i know it the only way we can see them and all that but atleast tone it down
What would really be a tragedy here is to see a young, promising actor like Rob join the ranks of so many other young actors that caved to drugs, alcohol, and other means to cope with the scrutiny their lives take on once they become the center of fan frenzy. This guy can’t walk down a street without being physically attacked. He can’t escape from constant screaming fans, questions about his personal life and not his work, or paps shoving cameras in his face. To all the crazy, pschotic people who stalk him daily (and the mothers of the underaged ones who are teaching their daughters its okay to be an ifatuated lunatic) I say this; Do you want him to end up dead at 25? Lay off him and let him have some piece of privacy in his life. Stop buying the trash and appreciate him as an artist by watching his movies.

And if you read the article and go to the FLANS site…Perez Hilton may not have been malicious towards Rob, but he did twitter some set information and hordes of fangirls went to the location to stalk Rob. That is not respectful of Rob’s privacy.

sadly, the tabloids arent the source of some of the many rumors that have been circulating. many blogs and sited, ive read somewhere, have started some rumors and the tabloids just pick up on them and inflate it.
i do feel sorry for him, but maybe he needs to get it though his head that this does happen to every celebrity. the paparazzi need to get a life though. seriously, celebrities are human beings to. but seriously. robert needs to get over it because no matter how much he wants them to stop, they won’t and him whining and complaining about it will only make them stalk him even more. but i do give him my best wishes. Maria Kally you are also exactly right – celebrities like Rob should have the right to share with the fans the pieces of their life and career that they choose and by the media not respecting that is how these people go mad. Honestly I just wanna give him a big hug and say “I feel for you man.”
MAJOR ROB FAN – I’m exactly the same like the whole rumour about Kristen being pregnant with his baby – I knew it was just a rumor straight away and I also refuse to believe anything that comes out of his mouth – poor guy!

I totally agree with what everyone is saying about the paparazzi laying off and tabloid lies to stop but, with his level of instant stardom……isn’t it to be expected? I mean seriously? Not that it’s right….I’m just saying. I also think that if it were only a few fans it wouldn’t be a big deal but, now he’s got like millions of fans so it’s easy to get overwhelmed, especially with hundreds of crazed twifans on your heels. I do feel so sorry for him………..as well as other celebrities. It’s too bad they can’t be famous and have a “normal” life.
