sadly, this is the way hollywood works. they take something as awesome as the twilight saga and they squeeze every last drop of $$ out of it as they can. I really try not to buy into all of this garbage. Ppl are clearly trying to branch the twilight series out to a much younger audience. even if the dolls are targeted toward teens… younger kids are still gonna buy them. Twilight doesnt sit in the form of a doll on the shelves of toys r us! Twilight isnt supposed to be covered in too much make up! The only thing that holds me to this series is the fact that i know that this is not OUR series. this is the twisted and wrung out version that hollywood has thrown at our feet.

Okay, to people who think Barbie is just for kids: it’s not- I used to play with barbies and my aunt collects them and shes like 30 or something, I’m 14 and I would want one- and beside my lil 7 year old sister loves twilight, so age doesn’t really go into this whole discussion.
LOL at you guys finding the dolls overpriced, like seriously its 24.99 all freakin dolls are 24.99 or even more these days. but anyway, me as a twilight guy, HATE THIS. honestly! like the action figures are actually cool, and a bit more mature since they aren’t for playing or anything, but dolls ? ok well first of all isn’t this like the 45678765 doll they have released or something ? xD but to be honest these are much better looking then the toner versions – yeaahh those ones scare me :l … but besides that, i agree with everyone, this si what gives twilight a bad rep, guys dont wanna see it anymore cause tey see the whole team edward shit on girls undys, and bella perfume and what not, like seriously ! can’t we just stick to normal merch… not “Twilight taking over the world” sutff. this is creepy.
What is so bad about it? Im going to get some. Just cuz the other dolls are way more expensive than these. I dont get why people are freaking out over them. WOW. people will waste their 25$ on ken and barbie with different clothes. I love twilight, but buying the dolls is stupid.Only creepers would buy this. And what would a teenager do with it stare at it for hours at a time? or little kids, they would rip the clothes and bite off the heads. They dont even look like Bella and Edward. Edward is supposed to have GOLDEN- brown hair, not just brown. And Kristen Stewart… pfft she sucks at acting, and the doll looks nothing like bella. The whold movie put a big dent in the popularity of twilight cuz the books are great, but the movie sucked majorly. I cant beleive that people think these are “cute”… they are ugly! its funny that people will waste their money on junk.

To all of those who think that Barbies are just for the children, this is not the case. I am 39 and have been a Barbie collector for almost twenty years. It all began when a friend showed me a magazine with Barbies I had never known to exist. These Barbies were very unique and usually quite expensive. They were created primarily for the adult collector. I am very selective with the Barbies I choose and usually purchase silver and gold label Barbies, however, I can’t imaging not buying the Twilight Barbie & Ken since I absolutely love Twilight.

actually saw some dolls called tonner brand that look alot more like the characters..these are just generic barbie and ken with a bit of tweaking
People collect Barbies! The ones like this usually are of a higher quality and aren’t meant for play- hence the price. I’m 20, and I plan on asking for the Edward one for Christmas (to me Edward looks unique; Bella looks just like Barbie). It will be a display piece, and I won’t open the box or play with it.
Yes, the Tonner ones were made first, and they are much more expensive (over $100), but they are supposed to be amazingly made dolls.
I really don’t see how this is any different from all of the shirts, bags, jewelry and other merchandise. I see good and bad to all of the marketing, but I have to say that I like being able to easily buy Twilight stuff when I want it.
