This just in from Access Hollywood who got an exclusive interview with Rachelle:
“I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria,” Rachelle continued, explaining the turn of events that led to the casting change. “I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.”

Summit is stupid.
I think that this was a bad move on Summits part. It’s like going back to almost recasting Jacob and not bringing Taylor Lautner back. When a movie series is started, all of the roles should remain the same unless there is a major conflict. I’m not fully informed on Summits behalf, but from what’s released there wasn’t anything that couldn’t be paused or worked around. I really hope that Rachelle is recast after all of the fans show their support, she is the REAL Victoria
Summit is being very hard on her. She’s an actress, for pete’s sake! Even if Rachelle is fully commited to the Twilight Saga, she can’t sit down and wait for Eclipse to star filming. She has to act and audition for other movies or whatever she wants to do next. It’s like Kristen filming “The Runaways” and Rob with ” Remember Me”. Like I said, she needed to find other things to do, because like any other job, she has work every day, for the money of a month or two of filming isn’t going to support her for a year. She is a person among many others, who gets paid. So, as sad as I feel for her sudden leave, I understand her. The only enemy here is the little, or probably none, time between both filmings.
OMG Summit seriously? I think that Summit will loose a lot of fans with this change in the casting.
Just Wow. I am floored. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you, Sum-schitt. As Evey mentioned, several other actors have interspersed other roles along with the Twi-Saga. As much as we love the Saga, it’s not the only gig in town! And ABSOLUTELY, as much as we Heart Rob, am I the only one that’s read the rumor that his “Remember Me” may run into late August as well – because of the PsychoPaps & Fans, nontheless? Are they going to replace him, too?!!? SHE says that she considered Eclipse’s schedule when agreeing to the other movie. However, Sum-schitt stated that the filming of Eclipse was scheduled to begin in ‘early’ August. The 20th doesn’t qualify for ‘early’ IMHO. WAS the date originally earlier? It would be great if Rachelle had something in writing stating that the 20th was E-Day. Since Rachelle’s other movie wasn’t supposed to have interfered with Eclipse’s filming, unless there was some odd contractual agreement, did she really HAVE to tell Sum-schitt anything at all?? In that same vein, she DID give them 30 days’ notice (July 20th – Aug 20th). Where’s the real beef, Sum-schitt??
Recasting is the death of a franchise. Let’s get those letters to Summit, people:

OMG! Why SUMMIT!? NO ONE can play Victoria better than Rachelle! The whole movie is going to be different without her! AND IT IS ONLY 10 DAYS!! In Eclipse it’s alot of parts there Victoria is not in it, they can always do that and leave Victorias part for later!! They have 3 months to do it anyways and she is just taking 10 f*cking days from the 3 months!!
This suckes. I really like Rachelle as Victoria, she pulled it off really well. We should all protest about it and get her role back!! I am so up for that. She is not getting the pay scale that Kristen, Rob and Taylor are in this film, and she made a business decision and made the conflict herself.. Summit is NOT to blame! She is!!

she should have been more careful, i know but she didnt think 10 days would mean anything.. She saids it herself. So yeah, it is kind of her own fault but forgive her, then!
