@CARLESME: I’m not going to get into a discussion about global warming.. if you think it’s not happening that’s your problem. I wasn’t talking about global warming. Killing our planet entails a bunch of other things we don’t consider because it doesn’t affect us directly (like global warming does) so we care even less about that… not to mention the awful labor conditions some people experience because they don’t have any other choice.. it’s so bad it’s almost slavery. I don’t really want to get into a discussion and I’m sorry for going on about it.. but the situation makes me plain sad. People don’t realize what they’re doing when they buy so many useless things… you guys should check out a video called THE STORY OF STUFF on youtube.. it’s only about 20 mins long and it will open your eyes.
chill guys. LAUREN: I see your point and I agree that we need to watch what we by for our planet, even if the real effect of laziness wont happen till generations to come. BUT (as much as we hate it) there is no stopped what people want and will buy. So far, our world is fine how it is right now, so if we keep things how they have been, and take care of what needs to be taken care of (land fills, logging, and nature friendly cars) our planet is going to get by.
STILL, that doesn’t mean its right to go buy junk, even tho I probably will buy some Twilight makeup doesnt mean its going to kill the world. lol.
anyway, just my point on the matter. I like debating. lmao
Though I am in favor of most activities that are geared towards improving/saving our planet, this just isn’t the appropriate forum to discuss the ssues at hand and to do any justice for them. Were talking about a little bit of makeup here…

OK just a comment on some people saying it’s useless: OK yeah they do have alot of Twilight merch, but they do that with plenty of other things too. It’s not meant to ruin the planet, it’s just meant to be fun! People don’t have to take things too seriously, if you don’t like it, you don’t have to buy it, but I think the Twilight merch is cool.

@EMILY: i know they do it with plenty of other things too, I didn’t mean to attack twilight merchandise in particular (i’m a fan of the series), something just went pop in my head when i saw this article.. and i know it’s not MEANT to ruin the planet.. but it IS meant to make someone tons of money, without absolutely NO regard for the consequences… and I think we DO have to take things seriously ’cause only when we do, when we ALL do, can we make a change for the better.
@34: I appreciate your comments and I see your point.. ppl aren’t seeing directly the negative effects of our consumption, and maybe that’s the problem because there’s no more incentive to stop than some scientists telling us this really is happening. But saying there’s no stopping what people want to buy and will buy, see there’s the problem.. everyone’s resigned to the fact that no one will change their way of living.. and everyone says well if they buy it so will i, how much of a difference will 1 person make? That’s where we are stuck.. I think you guys should reconsider when you buy stuff (again, not just twilight stuff)
