Hey guys, great news! The Host is on its way to the big screen:

I’m so excited to be working with Nick Weschler, and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz to bring The Host to a visual format. They’ve all been a dream to work with, so lovely and collaborative, and I feel like we’re in a really good place to make a great movie together. And then to have Andrew Niccol writing and directing? Truly awesome. If you’ve never seen Gattaca, go watch it now. One of my favorite movies of all time. It’s such a great example of character driven science fiction, which is ideal for The Host, no? I’m having an absolute blast imagining different dream casts, which I would post if people didn’t take my silly blogs so seriously these days. I’m looking forward to seeing the cast lists you come up with in the fansite forums, and if any of them match mine.
So, very exciting. Yay Host!

Oh, so exciting! If you haven’t read the host go request it at your local library, beg, borrow, steal from a friend, or just go buy it. It’s a great book. Go in knowing that it starts slow, stick with it and you’ll love it. I promise. Can’t wait for this movie.

Once I read the heading I was like “NO WAY!!!” I loved the book. It was confusing at first but omg did it get better. I couldnt put it down. I wonder who will play the parts. When does it come out I wonder??

This is so exciting! I did find it slow at first, but once it got going, I absolutely could not put it down. If you haven’t read it, steal it from a friend. I would say borrow, but I know you won’t be giving it back anytime soon!

this is absolutely great! I’ve been hoping that they would make a movie of The Host as well, it’s one of the few books that I can honestly say I couldn’t put down, and I’m not a huge fan of sci-fi!

Ahhhhh…. Yes. This has just made me happier than I was when I found out they were making Twilight into a movie.
Nobody like, stone me or whatever, but as a novel, I actually loved The Host slightly more than the Twilight saga. Not saying my love for Twilight saga has gone down, but just been knocked out of first place. The Host is my all-time favorite book and I am sooooo incredibly happy that they’re making it into a movie. I just hope they get it as close to the book as humanly possible. EEEEEEEEE! Can’t wait!

When I finished the book a second time and finally got what it was about I Got upset when the book ended. Then I started researching on the internet about whether or not it was going to be made into a movie and I almost cried with happiness when I found out its coming out as a movie. Love the twilight saga but its not nearly as good as The Host.
