Stephenie Meyer addresses Breaking Dawn movie rumors

Stephenie Meyer has updated her website today addressing some of the Breaking Dawn film rumors you might’ve heard:

Just a quick note on the subject of the Breaking Dawn film: there is no drama over whether the book should be one movie or two. My personal feeling is that it would be very difficult to cram the whole story into one movie (as I’ve said in many interviews previous to this), but if a great way of doing that surfaces, I’m all for it. Two or one, whichever way fits the story best is fine by me, and everyone I’ve spoken with at Summit seems to feel the same way. We’re all excited to move forward on this, and we are slowly and surely getting there. I know people are anxious for news, and so sometimes gossip get fabricated to stir things up, but there’s no basis to this particular story.

I’d rather they did it in two and made it amazing not missing out any of the small bits that arent vital but just make it perfect than rushed it all into one xx

I agree with CJ. They should just come out and say that they’re going to make 2 movies for BD so that they don’t leave out any other important parts and that it doesn’t look rushed. But first let’s get to Eclipse people! eep! =)

i think it it is better then just craming it together it might be more money, but atleast its not rushed. either way its going to be made. BD is the last book/movie so its a really big deal

I agree. Theres far too much in breaking dawn for it to be just one movie. Lets hope they decide to split it. Its my favourite book and i hope they make it the best movie ever.

No one likes a rushed movie, so two sounds nice. However, if they can have a movie with all the important parts without it being rushed, then I’m okay with one. Honestly, if they can do that and make it a GREAT movie, then I’m all for it. But two would be nice :] I just wouldn’t want a huge gap between them like they have for Deathly Hallows (which is like 8 months).

I’d be happy anyway even if they did make it in 2, but I’d be even happier if the made breaking dawn and kept the movie the same from the book like when the volturi come to see renesemee, it be good if they didnt add a fight like in new moon.

they keep talking about how much it would cost them to make bd into 2 movies, but think about how much more money they would make, i know i’ve seen new moon in theaters 3 times and many people have seen it more times than i have, and if we all did that with each of the bd movies they’d EASILY get the production costs back.

I think that it must be done as quick as possible. Cannot even wait for Eclips!! I still think Robert Pattinson is the most gorgeous guy in town

I don’t wanna sound like a kiss-ass or anything :) but THANK YOU Stephenie for taking the time to address the fans about where things are at w/ Breaking Dawn.

As crazy as the Twilight madness can get, it’s always sooo nice to know that Stephenie’s in the background, keeping watch over everything & making sure her fans are happy too.

Im afraid I disagree. Unless additional scenes are added to the film which arent in the book, Breaking Dawn as two films wont work. There just wont be enough detail or action for two films. Even when reading Breaking Dawn i found the first half rather boring. Fair does the first half has important aspects of the love story but jacobs part can be done in about 20mins :/ – nothing exciting happens! The wedding and honeymoney can be done well, jacobs bit should be glossed leaving the majority of the film empahasising the second half and most interesting of the book. Just my opinion

Yeah I agree with the first comment, get all the awesome deets and make it awesome…. but it would be cool to have one movie as well, for the sanity of your fans!! p.s. IS MIDNIGHT SUN COMING OUT????? PLEASE SAY YES?? WHEN??
