Anna Kendrick Talks Breaking Dawn Movie

MTV caught a quick video interview with Anna Kendrick at last nights Golden Globes, where they got a chance to ask her if she knew anything about the Breaking Dawn filming. Not surprisingly she doesn’t have any information, Access Hollywood reached a similar dead end when they questioned Taylor Lautner. It looks like we will just have to wait and see what happens! She was also asked her opinion on Breaking Dawn being split into two movies, to which she was fine with either option. In the end she concluded it’s simply ‘not her call’. Here is an excerpt, you can watch (or read) the whole interview at MTV by clicking here.

..She had a lot to talk about. Like “Breaking Dawn,” the final novel in the “Twilight” series. Depending on whom you speak with, Stephenie Meyer’s last Bella and Edward book will either be split into two films or remain intact.

“If it is [split], great. If it’s not, great,” Kendrick insisted, saying it’s not that she doesn’t care, but that she has no control over the situation. “I understand why they would want to do that, but it’s not my call.

“I find out when the fans find out. That’s true,” she laughed when asked when she expects to be briefed on how “Breaking Dawn” will be shot. “You will find out before I find out, actually. Text me.”

I definitely think Breaking Dawn should be split into two movies, with the huge amount of plot (not to mention split points of view) it seems almost impossible to make that story into one 2 hour movie.

Argh!!!! It’s agonizing ,this not knowing! They should just come out and say,”Hey, we’re making 2 movies for Breaking Dawn!” Because I agree with Chris. It does seem impossible to make just 1 movie for such a thick book with so many points of view. So if it’s 2 movies they wouldn’t be leaving out any important details!

Breaking Dawn needs to be one of two things. Split into two films ala Harry Potter OR filmed as a 3 – 4 hour film. Personally, I’d risk my butt going numb to sit thru a 3 or 4 hour Breaking Dawn, lol. But that’s just me :)

Okay i agree with Chris and Joanie, but how would they split it up since the points of view change..they cant just split right in the middle of Jacob’s point of view..so i hope they get it right if they split it! But either way they do it I know I’ll like it!

I think it would be okay if they made 2 movies, JUST don’t leave stuff out!!!!!!!!!!! If they made it into 1 movie and it was 5 hours long, I’d sit and watch it. My only gripe is if it is split into 2, don’t wait a year to release the 2nd part!!!!!! :)

I think they should definitely make it into two movies… and even if it does take half a year for the second part to come out, so be it. its just like how we have to wait for eclipse to come out after new moon’s release in november. i think it will be great either way.

I am with everone else on this to either its made in to 2 movies ( which will be reliesed as close together as possable lol ) or its made into 1 huge long movie which i would most deff watch for sure i dont care how long or how many movies they make it in to just as long as they dont leave anything out cuz that would just ruin it completly for this bok to be succsesfully made into a great movie nothing can be left out there just is to much stuff that links to other things and if bits are left out it would totaly fuin it…
but i knwo that what ever they decide i knwo it will be fanastic just like Twilight and New Moon…

I definitely agree with Mikaylah. I sooo want Breaking Dawn to be made into 1 movie cause what fun would it be to make 2 movies out of it. Lame! It would lose the point of it. Besides it’s one of my fav books in the series and I personally would like to view it as 1 movie. It can last 5 hours, I don’t care. I just don’t want them to leave out anything important!

Responding to Katie, I think that- SPOILER ALERT for people who haven’t read it or haven’t gotten there yet!!!- they should leave off where Jacob imprints on Renesmee. Or they could just make it like some of you have been saying, 5 hours!!! We WILL risk our butts going numb! LOL! =D

I defintely think Breaking Dawn should be split into two, maybe even three movies. It would be impossible to fit the whole plot into one movie and I would hate for details to be left out.

I think since the fans, us, all dont really care if its split into 2 movies or a really long movie, the directors are having a harder time because they are trying to decide what ones better, even though the fans wont care, as long as the movie is made, and is a great movie to watch, people will go for it. Personally, i think two movies, but if its a 5 hour long movie, i'll watch it.

OMC they should make 2 movies, that way there is more Twilight content and the book/ movie will be in detail, not rushed!!

I think it should not be split into 2 movies. That will just drag it on longer then necessary. Yes the story is long and it needs to include a lot of vital information but I think it would be possible to make it into one movie. Also, if they stall and wait to create the 5th movie (2nd part) a lot of the actors will not look their part. Edward is supposed to look 17 not 25.
