I guess it kind of depends on the situation. Like if it was a toddler u can't leave it's a little bit creepy, but if it was someone that was only like a year or so older or a few years younger it wouldn't be so bad. But u have to think about how hard it would be to fall in love wih some one you can't really trust them where as if u imprinted @least u could trust the person with ur secret. So like i said it depends i guess it's complicated. :)

Personally, I think imprinting is creepy. The book describes imprinting as the imprinter (?) being whatever the imprintee (?) wants them to be. This could mean a brother, father, boyfriend. . . anything - and the imprinter has no say in the matter. Imagine that one day you're walking around the mall, you see a guy and just decide that he's all you need in life. You know nothing about him, but still you want to spend forever with him. Creepy? Uh yeah. Also, in regards to the Sam/Emily/Leah mess, I'm definitely on Leah's side there. Going back to my first statements, you're whatever the imprintee wants. What if they don't want a romantic relationship at all? You would have to do that, wouldn't you? But, Emily, just gave in. If she really wanted to, she could have fought it. Now, Quil/Claire. For now, it kind of works out. Claire gets a babysitter, and Quil has something to do with his time. Ok, that was mean. I feel sorry for Claire, though. She won't get the satisfaction of seeing what's out there. She'll constantly have Quil by her side, protecting her from any form of danger possible. Claustrophobic much? I do not support imprinting or find it romantic at all.

i do agree with you on some points but when you say the slave thing i disagree because from what is described of slaves even over history is that they hate what they do and who they serve but the wolf who is imprinting is ecstatically happy about the whole thing and they wouldn't change it for anything, but you have a nice argument

i think its romantic and very sweet because there is no 100% guarantee that the girl will fall in love with the wolf imprinting but she will still love him in a certain way no matter what even as a friend/brother/or lover and Meyer completely describes the whole imprinting thing so how could someone think it was creepy or child molester like
