It looks like Summit Ent. will be taking a different approach this year with the New Moon DVD and Blu Ray release. If you remember last year when Twilight was released on DVD, it was a bit overwhelming, with so many different versions and editions. Each version had specific features and you could only buy specific versions at specific stores- very confusing.
This year Summit will just be releasing 2 versions of the film, one two disc special edition DVD, and the special editions Blu-ray. There will be a one disc version that will go to rental outlets like Netflix and Blockbuster.
This is in an effort to make the DVD/Blu-ray available to more consumers, since you can go into any store and buy the same version, and there will be less confusion as to which version to buy.
Also there will be less arguing between friends as to whose version is better, we will all get the same great bonus features.

great bonus features? i read on amazon that the extra features don't even include deleted or extended scenes…they gotta know that's one of our favorite things as fans when we're talking about bonus material.

yeah i read that in the article, but check out amazon.com and it says there's a commentary and a behind the scenes documentary and the rest of it is all band stuff. im gonna buy it either way but hopefully there's extras on there that they didn't list

Well color me officially excited! I remember last year I went with my friend to the Twilight Midnight DVD Release Party at Borders. Good fun- I can't wait to do it again for New Moon!

Borders was lots of fun! THey had different Twilight activities and i even won something! Ok- so it was one of the postcards that came with the DVD but whatever…
The only problem is that it doesn't appear that they will make a similar DVD set to the Twilight Borders version. I want the New Moon DVD to look as good as my Twilight DVD I got at Borders!!
I wan’t to go to the borders party for the DVD release, I didnt go for the twilight release, but i did for Breaking Dawn… and It was fun
I won a “Bitten by breaking dawn” pin, and stickers for the book 
I kinda hoped they would have had a three disk special addition, but im not going to complain with the two disk because Im already excited that its comming out so quickly

i really cant wait till it comes out … and im glad their making it less confusing on to which Dvd to Buy you know all us Die Hard Twilighters want the disk with the most stuff on it … but we cant always afford it.

I hope it has the free I-Tunes download like the Target version of Twilight! Has anyone heard about that?
It's not true that Summit is only releasing 2 versions. Let the confusion begin. Target has exclusive versions. One is a 2 disk with film cells and a 3 disk (BluRay) with film cells.
