Twilighter since? 2007For the last three years, I have been going through a divorce. I felt for a long time, that I was slipping further and further into depression. Raising two children has taken its toll on my love life. I don’t regret anything, even the bad. Because I have relized not long ago that the bad, as well as the good, are the elements that make me who I am today. Part of getting out of the ‘Self Loathing Stage’ I bought the entire Twilight Saga novels. It might sound a little crazy, but these books mean so much to me. For they are a essential in my self recovery. I have never read any book that has given me faith and self recognition. I have always been a sucker for the fantasy world, as I wished in so many ways, that people like the characters in Twilight are real. I like to believe that every women deserves to have there very own Edward Cullen… One day, I will find my one true ‘Soul Mate.’ Thank you to Stephenie Meyer for writing such a wonderful series.

Aww…
Twilight can have an impact on peoples lives more than I thought! I love how you let twilight really help:)
Jesus also make it better!!!!
but Twilight is pretty good too!!!
I'd never even had a life, or an idea what true love was until I read the series. I've come out of my shell. Twilight can have an enormous impact on lives. Some say it's just a book. I say it's my treasure, my whole life. I depend on it when I get depressed or sad, even mad sometimes.

I think they should make one of those Chicken Soup books and call it "Chicken Soup for the Twilighter's Soul". Then make a section called "Twilight as a Healer" and then add this story
Congrats Laura! Although I've never been divorced, I can definitely see how Twilight would help you through a break-up of that magnitude. (Not to mention, now you've found a new family on here with us!) =)
I just wish Twilight had been around when I got my divorce. I know exactly how you feel. That was over 25 years ago. I have now been married to Gordon, "My Edward" for 15 years. He really wasn't "My Edward" until I read Breaking Dawn. It was like the light bulb came on over my head. I can't tell you what connected for me, but I thank Stephanie for helping me to see what I could change, in myself, to make this a better marriage. Now I tell everyone that Gordon is "My Edward". All I can say Laura, is hang in there, I have no doubt your Edward is waiting for you.
