But when it comes to which role was tougher to play — her “Handkerchief” rebel Martine or “Twilight” icon Bella Swan — KStew and Cohn disagree.

“No, I would say definitely not,” Stewart insisted, claiming that Bella is the more complicated portrayal from an actor’s point of view. “It’s so hard to compare roles — this was difficult for other reasons. “It was so much smaller, it was so personal,” Kristen remembered of the “Handkerchief” shoot in New Orleans in 2007.

“Bella has definitely got more [complexity],” Stewart said of the iconic “Twilight” role that made her a household name. “Bella has more to do. [As an audience member], you’re with her for years of her life; you’re with this girl for two weeks — not even, a week.”

  • To me, it seems like Bella Swan is a harder character to play. I mean, she has thousands of people expecting the perfect Bella preformance. So not only does she have the pressure of being like the character readers fell in love with, but she also wants to have fun with the role. She doesn't have that kind of pressure for other movies.

This is kinda stupid. She acts exactly the same in all of her movies. I did not see any change in Adventrueland than with what she did with Bella. It's like she's not even trying. Don't go into conclusions, I like KStew, I think she's cool and all. But I don't like her as an actress. I think she was the wrong part for Bella, I think someone else deserved it. I still like her, but she's a baaaaaaaaaad actress.

Kristen is absolutely perfect in the role as Bella. While some say the role should have gone to someone more deserving, I believe any actress would be critized in that role. And especially Kristen because she does have a relationship (friends or gf, who knows) with Rob. Loved her in Adventureland…the director said that no other actress could portray that part as convincingly as Kristen. So while "fans" do not like her acting, directors love her. James Woods has a role for her in an upcoming movie. he is actually waiting until she is available because no one else can be convincing in the role. She was amazing in Speak and The Cake Eaters.

  • i love her i her as bella i cant enagin any one else as balle.

A low oath made me aware that someone was with me, and the voice was impossible not to recognize. Two long, white hands shot out protectively in front of me, and the van shuddered to a stop a foot from my face, the large hands fitting providentially into a deep dent in the side of the van’s body. — Bella Swan, Twilight | Chapter 3
