Amanda Bell from the Twilight Examiner is reporting about the new Twilight charity called “Twihards4Charity” which was created by Rob DeFranco (@211me) with help from good friend Peter Facinelli:

So, what Rob DeFranco and 211me have decided to do, with the help and support of Twilight star Peter Facinelli, is create a place where Twilight fans can go to share in the joy of giving.

“What Rob is trying to do and what I support is this website and uniting the Twihards for a common goal,” says Peter Facinelli. “The one thing that binds Twilight fans is the franchise and the books, and I think that if we band together and have those Twihards focus their energy on things other than the books, I think great things can happen because they’re so dedicated and so passionate.”

The website is www.Twihards4Charity.com, and it has just launched this weekend.

Good News and Bad News was recently posted on EOnline! about your fave vampire, Robert. The bad news? Rob will NOT be touring to promote his most recent flick Remeber Me. And now…the good? R.Pattz can’t be here too long because he’s all over Bel Ami, the movie he’s currently filming in Europe with Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci, and Kristin Scott Thomas. But wait! There’s even more good news for you Robert fans…. He’s in EVERY scene in Bel Ami! So the question is… What RP movie are you most excited to see? Remember Me, Eclipse, or the new Bel Ami? Why should i be the fan of the week for Twilighter? My Twilight Saga journey began in April, 2007. It was the day of the Junior High Dance tryouts and all my best friend would talk about was Edward Cullen. I looked at her and thought, “Since when does she get a boyfriend and not tell me?” But as she talked about him the word “sparkle”, and “blood” and “vampire” came into the conversatioin about once every sentence. As I looked around I noticed that every girl in the gym knew what she was talking about. So when it came time to ask a question about one another to get to know everyone, I stood up and said “Before I go crazy, can someone please tell me who Edward Cullen is?” I felt like i was the stupidist person. A gym full of aobut 40 girls stoped talking and stared at me for about a good 5 minutes. I was seriously scared. As i almost started to say something else, my best friend Oakley got up and made her way to her bag. She came back with a book. The title read “Twilight”. I read the back and said, “Can I borrow this?” She looked at me as if I just asked the best questin in the world. She let me and I read the first 4 chapters before dinner that night… I was hooked. I called her after dinner and we talked for hours. Over the next two weeks I finished the books and read all sorts of information on the web. Oakley and I had started a Twilight Saga group at our school and we have 27 members. I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE TWILIGHT!!!!!!:)

I’d just like to point out that the official name for us is Twilighters not ‘twi-hards’. Just sayin’.
