Fam of the Week March 1 – 7, 2010

Name Eli Adams
Age 21
Country USA
Twilighter since? 2007

As a guy, I actually never thought I’d see my self reading the novels at all, but in 07, being dragged by my girlfriend to the Eclipse release really changed my views on the series. Waiting in line, I really saw all the different aged readers as well as guys who were actually into the books, and the thought came to mind, why not? So I borrowed the first book from my now ex-girlfriend, and thought it was entertaining, later went on to New Moon, and then I couldn’t put the novels down since. I can say 90% of people all around believe the saga is mainly focused for girls and I completely agree, but at the same time I can also say that guys could in many ways relate to it. The way I see the story is from both Jacob and Edwards perspectives, and can seriously say that almost every guy out there can relate to both of them as well. Every guy, no matter the age, has once been the best friend of a girl they fell in love with, but all they could really be is just friends, and these novels really put that perspective of us guys out there. In my honest opinion, I can really say I’m thankful for reading these books, because in some way, it sort of shows us guys. how girls might think (a mystery that will never be solved by the way lol) and at the same time shows you females, how guys can feel in certain situations. If you’d ask me whether I’m team Jacob or Edward, I’d say both, because I can I’ve had my Jacob moments in life, as well as Edward moments, and the thought of both characters mashed together, would make up the “Man” every guy out there wants to be for their special lady.

I have too say im glad he got fan of the week. I wish more guys were more like him, understanding that guys could relate to the book in some ways girls can’t; like for instance how a boy could love his best friend, but his best friend doesnt share the feeling, or how protective a guy could feel torrward his girlfriend/ wife. :) Way to go Eli!

I completely agree! It's just that mentality guys have about being macho, that they feel that the Twilight Saga makes them feel less of a man. So thank you Eli!, for proving to us and other guys:)
