Dose.ca has a new interview with the band’s Dominic Howard where they found out Muse will not be in the New Moon soundtrack. They even had a song inmind for it that they said would have fit Edward and Bella well. Read the whole article here!
“Oh, it’s nothing to do with Stephenie, she’s totally cool,” says Howard, beginning to explain how Muse have potentially broken their Twilight hat-trick. “It’s the people in the movie business, completely outside of the writers and the creative types, the non-creative types I suppose are the people who are quite hard to deal with in Hollywood, so it didn’t work out.”

this is kinda sad…im glad they cleared the air and said it had nothing to do with stephanie tho. i think a lot of fans will be upset about this. now im super curious about who IS gonna be on the soundtrack
What a shame – we love Muse, I shall certainly be expressing my displeasusre on the summit site. Maybe if enough fans show our disgruntlement then they may reconsider?
I agree! If enough fans voice their opinion on how Muse is great maybe they would reconsider I love them!

I’m totally pissed!!!! They inspired so much of her writing!!! They’re as much a part of this story as SM is!!! And through her introduction, they became one of my fav bands…this is so dumb!! I was looking forward to what the next song would be!!!! This totally blows!!! Sucks!!!! Trying to roll with the changes and punches that go along with book to movie but this one is a hard one for me. =^(

Im hating this!! some of the biggest things I do with this series is read the book as the movie comes out, do the midnight release for theater and dvd and listen to the muse song on the soundtrack till i know every word, Its always been my fave group on the soundtrack and their music always fits so perfectley. Time to really think about this Summit and put Muse back on the bill.

How is that possible!? Stephanie Meyer LOVES Muse! She puts them in the acknowledgments all the time, how can there not be Muse on the soundtrack? Who picks the bands? Has anyone beaten him up yet?
Though I do believe the soundtracks have been awesome so far, I really hope they keep it up… even without Muse

This sucks! I adore Muse, no scratch that I LOVE MUSE I think they SHOULD have them on their. Replying to Sophia I also want to know who will be on the soundtrack.

I cant say that im going to miss them on the soundtrack. dont get me wrong, i like how the songs are incorporated in the movies, it just that i dont feel the need to listen to them. they're good, but if the "hollywood people" want to selll more they made a wise decision.
this sucks then i really hope there some paramore though if there no muse and no paramore it will be crap and not many people would buy it but the "Hollywood people" want to sell more there going to but some singers in like lady gaga or someone like that and if they but them on it would ruin the film so much
Im very upset. I did not know the band until Twilight, and once i listened to them I feel in love with their music. I really hope they reconsider the decision. It wont be the same without them on the soundtrack =(. Hollywood always ruins the best of things.. doesn't it?
What the F***!!!!!!!!! muse like inspires Smeyer SOOOOOO much and like helped her through a lot of stuff—>and not to put MUSE on the elicpse soundtrack is f***** crazy?!?!?!?
Oh im so angry! And sad:(. Muse is one of my favorite bands and I loved hearing them on the last two soundtracks. And i agree with Twilighter1981, they really inspired Stephanie to write some of the things she wrote in the Saga. But there really isnt anything we can do except hope they get some good bands for the Eclipse soundtrack.
That f*cking sucks, I swear to god Muse is my FAVOURITE band ever, they inspired Stephenie Meyer so much. People have made such a bad decision to not include them on the Eclipse soundtrack. Muse alone make the soundtrack immense so without them it's really gonna suck.

OMG OMG they cant take them out of the soundtrack, They better put them back in for the breaking dawn films. They are a part of twilight as much as edward and bells are.
