Earlier this month it was reported that Muse would not be on the Eclipse movie soundtrack, not because of lack of interest, but a business deal couldn’t be made. Now, Twilighters Anonymous is reporting that they will be on the soundtrack:
TA has a reporter who has been covering events down at the SXSW (South By Southwest) Festival in Austin, Texas all week. Well today that reporter happened to find themselves in conversation with informed sources from Chop Shop/Atlantic Records. The source has confirmed that Muse will indeed be on the Eclipse soundtrack.

i think muse being on the soundtrack will overshhadow other bands so unfair i was looking forward to other bands becoming big not it all to be about muse muse muse
MUSE is a terrific band and I would hope that they would be given the opportunity to be on the soundtrack and write songs for ALL of the Twilight Saga Movies. After all this is a band that inspired the writer "Stephanie Meyer" to write the books. I vote yes to all. I look forward to their great music to inspire the love of Edward and Bella and the Twilight Saga… I'll be listening!
I don't think so… If Muse already has been in Twilight soundtrack, why in Eclipse soundtrack too? I wish it were true, but… I'm not sure about it. Anyway, I love Muse!

All these rumours are confusing me – I just hope we come out with the truth sometime soon. Muse are an awesome band, one of the bests, and I really want to see them on the soundtracks until the end!!

This made me smile so huge! I love Muse, they're one of my favorite bands. When I heard they would'nt be on the Eclipse soundtrack after being in the first two, I was shocked. I think their music brings a lot to the movies. I hope this is true, it wouldn't be the same without them.
