David Slade Thanks Fans on Facebook

The Official Twilight Facebook has a message from Eclipse director David Slade to fans!

“When you put your heart and soul into something as intense as the duration of a film production, you become completely lost in it. You focus on doing your very best to get it right each day and you work on this for so long that you assume an ownership of it.

When shooting The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, I always felt an awareness of how many people this film would reach and as a result, knew that this film did not just belong to myself, the producers and the studio, but more so, to all of you, the fans of The Twilight Saga.

At the end of the day, after all the hard work is done, all that’s left is the film itself, and your overwhelmingly positive and supportive responses have made me feel like we must have done something right. As a filmmaker, this is a rare and strange feeling of connection with an audience of which I will never forget and I thank you all for it.

it's very nice to get feedback from someone who worked very hard on this film and I think he did great (altho it could have been a little bit darker :) my only dissapointment was between edward and bella bedroom scene which lasted I think about a min. and just flashed a few kisses-you couldn't even see what was going on – that was an important point in their relationship to me-but the bella and jacob scenes were all in the movie and the dramatic panoramic kiss atop a cliff? come on! it was another rush of scenes that did not flow. when is SM gonna stop countin the money and pay attention to what is going on with the story. david your directing was great!!! as for BD- the intimacy will probably be flashes of kisses so don't actually se what is going on or fade out-so not looking forward to that!!!!!

That's very nice of him to say but could someone please tell him that Twilight is not a fairy tale….I'm not trying to be mean but the Eclipse ending looked like a freaking fairy tale…..
