Starting August 2008, Twilighters.org will be having at least one contest every month. Every month we will give away vamptastic prizes!

August’s contest theme is “Are you thirsty for more?”

Having devoured Breaking Dawn, are you thirsting for more vampire novels to sink your teeth into? We will be giving away 5 copies of the

“Night World No. 1: Secret Vampire; Daughters of Darkness; Spellbinder” by L.J. Smith.

To enter the contest you will have to tell us in under 100 words,

“What would your vampire power be, and why?”

My vampire power would be to alter memories. I chose this because in my life there have been things that I wish I could forget. I could erase the bad and replace it with the good. I could do this not only for myself, but for others. Some people are traumatized by their past and it is hard to forget. I could replace their bad past with a happy one. Not only would I do that for people who truly need it, but I would be able to conceal the existence of vampires from the human world.

I would like the power to sleep and dream about anything i wish. I would also have the power to put others to sleep and give them any dreams i wish for them to dream. People could begin to feel drowsy or sleepy around me if i wanted them to…could come in handy in a battle

Since I started reading Twilight, I have been addicted that’s all I talk about and all I think about. I’ve never really thought about what vampire power I would want to have, I’ve just always wanted to be like Alice or Edward. So if I could have any vampire power it would probably be to give people self confidence, because I know that when I enter a room I have no self confidence because I don’t like anything about me, and everybody should always fell beautiful and good about there selves.

My vampire power would be to be able to sense peoples hardships or issues. I want to be able to help people in any way that I can, even if I was immortal. Everyone in this world goes through hard times, and if I was able to help people through those tough times then it would give me great satisfaction.

My vampire power would be the ability to freeze time. Say something happens and you need to freeze time quickly to converse with your fellow vampires; I could freeze time, have a quick talking with the vamps and then unfreeze time and the humans would have no clue what just happened. Very useful for getting out of sticky situations and just cool period. This would help when completely surrounded by humans we don’t have a mind reading vampire on hand. Only humans would be affected; other vampires would not be affected by my power.
