Was anyone else...surprised?

Okay, I didn't begin reading any of the Twilight saga books until last Fall...just about 1 month before the movie was released in 2008. I somehow managed to stay spoiler free. So naturally, BD pretty much blew my mind, especially Renesmee.

Actually, I was surprised that the wedding even went off without a "hitch." Did anyone else think that something would stop Bella and Edward from getting married? I thought Jacob or something/someone else would really crash the wedding.

hmmm.............well (for me) idk about expecting them to really crash the wedding & keep it from happening......i never really got the feeling they WERE NOT going to get married - but i did think Jake would show up @ some point (and he did ) that whole scene after the wedding @ the reception when he freaks about Edward & Bella' "real" honeymoon was kinda crashing.....sorta lol

but other than that short scene- i can't really think of a moment when i thought the wedding wouldnt happen

Like Lexi, I always thought the wedding would go down. Edward wanted it too much for the wedding not to happen. If anybody tried to interfere, I thought it would be Sam. As said in the books > general section, there are quite a few here rather fond of him, but he just really comes off to me as wanting to prevent anything that would help the vampires.

I was surprised Jacob didn't take a swing at Edward, since he's always saying he could take him in a fight. Would have been fun.

yeah i was totally surprised with breaking dawn, every part of it if you know what i mean loll. i was so confused for i bit like how fast that book went with all that happend and i was really truley suprised at what happend

I was actually relieved that nothing went down during the wedding. It was something that made Edward truly happy and I really wanted him to have the experience without any issues.

It surprised me that jake kept a cool head for so long. I thought for sure that as soon as he got there he wud crash the wedding. But i was already told about renesmee before i even read twilight so.

i was surprised billy came to the wedding but that kinda hinted jake might show up. im really glad that the whole firt part of the book was not terribly frantic cause it was sweet. renesmee was a jaw dropper though. when she kept throwing hints like "eating for two" i just thought that was brilliant.
