just saw a preveiw on tv for this new show on the CW called
The Vampire Diaries............idk.............
sounds a little to me like they are trying to ride the vamp. craze right now....... just my thought- i'll prob. check it out though.......... here's a few clips from it!

I have the first book in the series on my summer read list it looks interesting though i might watch, but yeah definately jumping on the vampire bandwagon

Yeah, I don't know about it. REALLY seems like they're not only trying to "ride the vampire craze," so much as copy Twilight altogether. I haven't read the books though, so I can't make a fair statement. I watched the extended preview the other day, and I guess all the high school related scenes and especially the "he must be from Seattle" comment made me feel like they were really trying to butt into Stephenie's world.

Does anyone here watch True Blood or read the Sookie Stackhouse novels? That series, to me, is an example of taking the vampire idea and twisting it in an interesting way that doesn't remind me of Twilight. Just sayin', that if you're going to do something, it's got to stand apart from what's already popular.

agree completly yes- the whole seattle thing had me buggin for a sec.... but maybe b/c i always have twilight on the mind then the whole "mysitc falls" kinda forks-ish sounding/feeling eh- whatev

but what i did not like was how he was all in the office @ school like edward was- being all demanding - ick copy cats

but hey- i guess that can TRY & capitalize on it- just get a few new ideas together CW & put down twilight books for a sec........ hahahaah

As much as I don't like the idea of it...I probably will tune in for the first episode. The CW is good at casting pretty people to look at, at least. I'm a huge Gossip Girl fan, so any way I can support the CW I'll try. I really don't want them to cancel Gossip Girl! lol

Nope, not copying Twilight at all. They books where written wayyyy before Twilight, like early 90's. IDK I'm not happy with all the changes they've made. Although it does look like a good TV show. *Shrug* I'll watch it.

Haha they just copied twilgiht saga but made it a bit different so they wouldn't get caught doing something wrong. Think about it...

-hot guy who looks kinda like rob
-brown haired girl looks kinda like kstew
-lights on the bridge
-special effects with the eyes...since twilight didnt use the whole "bruised" look they decided too
-good vamp and bad vamp fighting for the girl
-good vamps parents died but this other guys acts like his dad aka carlisle

I say hey...if they don't make a twilight tv show then this is good enough for me. I will definitely be watching this!

ehhh i dont know its like a vampire version of dawsons creek and it might good for the 15 year olds but eh yea not my cup of tea. ill stick to the true blood series, more adult stuff
