Ok This Really Bugs Me

Some parts it really annoys me. Like in the commentary both Kristen and Rob thought they changed the color of Bella's prom dress. They were both really confused lol.

Oh ya that confused me 2 the first couple of times i saw it.

Yeah I get what you mean Wolfgirl, but I didn't mind the blue tone. It suited the movie somehow. I don't know why, maybe because Forks was a cold and remote place, where mysterious things were happening, Bella felt isolated at first and it was so different from her hometown of Pheonix. Now in New Moon she is comfortable and in love and the colours are really warm and rich.

I saw a photo once where someone had color corrected a still from Twilight to show the difference. I can't find that specific one, but I found this one:

idk. i kinda liked the blue but i LOVE the warmer earth tones of NM i remember reading in the NM companion guide the blue & the very cool color palate was to give the movie more of a mysterious vibe. cuz of the cullens & vamps & all that- but in NM all those dark images & clouded colors are done with b/c Edward leaves- Jake is more idk earthy? lmao! u know what i mean! he/the pack is more in touch with nature- even Kstew said *in some interview somewhere on this subject* that NM is more "animalistic" so yeah the warmer tones make MUCH more sense this time around!

OH and kathleen- that duel screen shot helps alot! i am SO glad they went more golden this time around- the blue makes NO sense for NM!

I think the blue tint is something that Catherine Harwick likes. She did the same thing with Thirteen that she directed. Maybe it's her 'style'? (I haven't seen other films by her)

I do agree that it works with the thought that Forks is a cold and depressing place etc. Bella has moved from a warm and colourful place to somewhere that appears quite miserble. It could also reflect her lonliness.

The problem I had with the colour was that you couldn't see the detail of the vamps eyes very well. They have vibrant amber/gold eyes but that was completely lost in the film imho. Also their lips appeared far too red.

My Dad watched it with me one day (I happened to have it on in the livingroom and he just joined me). He asked about the colour. He wanted to know why it looked 'off' and why they had such red lips.

I thought the lips were hot! But yeah, the eyes are looking much nicer from the pictures of New Moon.

That's interesting, I still haven't bought the DVD yet so I haven't listened to the commentary. Did they say what color the dress was in real life?

Ya i get wat you guys are sayin. I just didnt get it and i still dont really like it. The lips look really stupid to me and rob hates it to. Hes always sayin how much he hates it.
