Seriously. Everybody seems to be going on about Edward and Jacob, but what about Bella?
She took Edward back so quickly and settled into their little routine again. He flat out tells her no, she can't see Jacob so she resorts to a cowardly plan of sneaking away. To her surprise hes gone and stalled her truck so she goes in a little huff up to her room and slams the window. But only a second later goes to open it again.. and to quote the book, "as wide as it can go". Ugh. I mean, the guy ditched you for I can't remember how long and as soon as he's back you are like jello? Have some spine why don't you.
As for her with Jacob, he was so utterly callous about Edward and his family. Yet here she is holding his hand? When her boyfriend/almost fiance is off somewhere else? and it's supposed to be innocently as friends? Riiight. Anyway, she keeps telling him to stop being an ass about her vamps, which he does for about two seconds everytime, and then starts acting like his pompous self again. What does she do? Bella goes into 5 year old pout mode and threatens to leave half a dozen times but doesn't actually do it. A decent girlfriend would be like stfu right now, or i'm gone.
I could go on and on about every little detail that irks me to no end but my point is that Bella is just weak. Not to mention a complete imbecile. I'm not even halfway through (re-reading) the book and i'm ready to pull my hair out over this girl.
