Did anyone hate Bella as much as I did in this book.

I agree that she was out of order the way she seemed to play Edward and Jacob off eachother. She did appear very weak, esp with Edward and he was a tad overprotective and controlling imo.

This isn't a normal love triangle though so I don't think it can be judged as such. Bella is in a somewhat impossible situation and completely out of her depth. Thrown into a world she doesn't understand and her immaturity and sheflishness shone through.

I've never been a fan of Jacob and I think he was a total dickhead at times. He knew about her feelings for Edward yet he didn't back off. He took advantage at times. Perhaps Edward would have been more forgiving with the situation if Jacobs actions had been different?

I don't hate her really, just the way she does things and handles situations. I don't mind her as much in other books.

i can understand where your coming from, since i joined this forum i been noticing how many different points of views they are, like we all read the same thing but took from it different views

Yeah, like someone said - it's not really her I didn't like in this book - it was her actions.

The Jacob thing. I hated that whole situation. And the tent thing - she wouldn't let him fight with his family. I can kind of get why, but it was unfair of her. I didn't really like how she handled Jacob - she should have stood up to him more.

She also played the damsel in distress part a little too well.

Plus that part where Jacob played her about just offing himself, and she was SO distraught that they sucked face until he would promise that he'd come back... that was just ridiculous, lmao.

I agree. That bit really p***** me off. She should have just told him to f*** off and die (knowing full well that he wouldn't do it).

Same for me.

Those things before the fight, she was under total stress. Pretty afraid for everyone, in that I can understand her quite well. She manipulated Edward to stay with her, and she even felt bad doing it, and she believed Jacob manipulations and felt awful later. She had strong feelings for both of them -kind of different loves- and she was carried away by the whole thing. She was not mature in everything, she was responsible but she had no experience about relationships, and was got in the middle of something she couldn't manage well. In a way she was not right and she knew it.
