      They changed Victoria, because the original Victora had to do another movie…so she couldn't make it in time to film the movie, so they had to hire another actress.

      they changed her character because rachelles schedule was interfering with her other movies and she had to give one up, so she said bye to twilight..
      and now the have bryce dallas howard, which really did look like rachelle so it was like she was there but she wasnt.

        Bryce Dallas Howard didn't look like rachelle at all. if i hadn't known ahead of time that they changed the actress, i would've when i saw the movie. it was pretty obvious that there was a huge difference.

    I loved the movie!!! Ofcourse, the books are better but wow!!! The movie was great. I was entertained. The movies cant be Exactly like the books, it would cost tooo much and the movie would be 8 hours long.

      I see your point but I think the movies should be choosing the story not the action shot sequences. The story is the relationship, not the chases. There is no atmosphere and the story between the main characters is gradually being lost. WAY too much time on Victoria (new actress – who cares!) and the new vampires. The movies should be made for the readers – there are enough of us and we get it!

    It was better then the others cant wait for breaking dawn the movies seem to get better as they go. I wish they would of hit more details from the book in the movie but i guess its all in the budget.. I agree with others they should have intensified the relationship triangle with Bella, Edward, and Jacob.. I cant believe the movie is on line already wow!

    Eclipse was really very well done. I truly enjoyed the little quips between Edward and Jacob..esp when Jacob is warming up Bella and reminds Edward that he is hotter than him! lol

      It is my favorite book and this movie was SUCH a disappointment. The first film was so much better. Why are they choosing macho directors who just DON'T GET IT! ? Catherine Hardwick got it. We need a female director to do these films – not someone who just races to the action shots and don't understand the relationships and background needed. Sigh…. (New Moon was not great either but much more tolerable. Eclipse was overly focused on the young vampires – whatever!)

    Eclipse was by far the very best. They even put my favorite scene in where Jacob and Bella kiss! I almost jumped for joy. I'm a Jacob fan so this movie is very dissapointing to me. They should have made a better ending.

    In the first twilight, the tracker is hunting bella's scent through the woods. (but roselina is wearing her jacket) what and who is the song by playing before the tracker realizes he's not chasing bella and changes course.

    I don't think there are any lyrics in it in the movies but I absolutely love the sound and the beat is great. please help me. How wrote it and whats the name of it?

    It really sucks that we have to wait for a year and a half for the first part of Breaking Dawn then 7mo for the second part. GRRRRR The third movie was the best one out of all three so far. It is a bit disappointing that there aren't more similar part from the book to the screen. Unfortunately, it can't be 100%. Atleast we have the books! :)

      How could it be made into one movie? They tried to do that with Eclipse and that movie really sucked! The story between the main characters was sacrificed for lots of shallow action shots. Where is the story? Where is the atmosphere created in the first film?/ Sad. I think Breaking Dawn had to be 2 films and even then… we will just have to be patient with all the focus on effects and action shots and remember the relationships from the book.

      I'm with you Jennifer, I totally love Eclipse, then Twilight and then New Moon 3rd because the 1st and 3rd the love story starts and continue, but in the 2nd it is so devestatiing for the Team "EDWARD" to see her alone and lost for her true love, that's she's using Jacob to temporary fill a void to see Edward in her subconsious… of course the director portrate Bella as a Tramp not sticking with one guy.. Hey she has the best of both worlds and if you read Breaking Dawn you will see, she choose Edward and for good reason, an Everlasting Love… that's what we all want..

    If you are watching this as a stand alone movie, I would say that it is a decent movie – lots of action scenes with some romance thrown in.

    But as part of the Twilight Saga, I have to say that this movie is a disaster!

    Let me start by stating that like thousands of Twifans, I had eagerly waited for this movie and saw it on opening day. My initial reaction was that it's a terrible sequel. To give is a fair chance, I bought the DVD and saw it twice again, once on it's own and then again as part of my weekend movie marathon from Twilight to New Moon to Eclipse.

    So what's wrong with the movie?
    1. The sweetness and magical fantasy weaved in the first 2 movies was totally non-existent in this movie – it felt too 'real-life', like some action movie.
    2. The camera angles felt too close when compared to the first 2 movies, and it felt almost like it was "in your face" too much.
    3. The hair on the key characters look really fake or awkward, and the skin tone was either a weird shade of pale or bronzy in some scenes.
    4. Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria was totally disorientating – she played the character so differently that it was clearly 2 different personbalities. They should have stuck with the same actress throughout the 3 movies.
    5. The music was too loud or too epic like – the bedroom proposal scene music was way too loud and it totally destroyed the mood of the scene. The music at the end of the movie was too epic like, too LOTR (I have done the LOTR movie marathon enough times to recognize Howard Shore's touch anywhere – and the Twilight Saga is not LOTR).

    David Slade and Howard Shore are both great artists and great in what they do, but I personally feel that they have not understood what Catherine Hardwicke and Chris Weitz had done in the earlier movies. Where New Moon picked up the mood and transitioned well from Twilight, the transition from New Moon to Eclipse is not there.

    I hope they don't destroy the next 2 movies that they are making from the last book.

    All fans should have their say. It was too mild, felt like I was watching Harry
    Potter. The film people can't seem to get that the real story is the passion
    between Bella and Edward, and Jacob's passion for Bella.

    I agree. I haven't gotten to Breaking Dawn with my schedule yet, but so far Eclipse was my favorite book, but the movie was very disappointing. The real story was the passion between Bella, Edward, and Jacob and they barely touched on it. I understood they did what they did with the newborns in Seattle for those who won't pick up the books, but by doing so, they lost time and didn't incorporate the true essence of the book. David Slade also worked on 30 Days of Night so I knew the action sequences would be great. I liked Catherine Hardwicke's work the best. She really focused on the intensity between Bella and Edward.
