Q: How surprised are you by the success of Twilight?

A: We were really surprised. I mean we knew because there was a book,that there would be some sort of a following, but when we finished filming, and the anticipation followed, we realized that it was a bigger deal. Then come opening weekend we made our money back on opening night, so we were like yeah! We were all surprised at how well it did, it’s just kind of unfathomable how well it did.

K: For me, I didn’t know Twilight was a book series when I got involved with it… I know, boo me! I need to read more apparently! But Ashley bought the books to my hotel room, and said, hey, have you read the books? And I laughed in her face, then she had all the copies for me, so I read them as quickly as I could. Loved the book series, and then I realized why the fans, you know, followed it so closely. And, you know, it’s a great story, about that bit of love that we all know. It’s beautiful, and, I fell in love with it. So to see how quickly I fell in love, I knew it was going to be a big hit. It’s definitely a roller coaster ride. But we all enjoyed being a part of it. The fans guys are amazing!

Ashley Greene: New Moon Preperations For Alice

Ashley talks with EntertainmentWise about preparing for Alice in New Moon.

In the second instalment of the Twilight franchise, we’ll be seeing much more of Ashley’s character Alice Cullen as she grows closer to her ‘brother’ Edward’s girlfriend Bella Swan.

She explains to Entertainmentwise, “You see the relationship between Bella and Alice and the relationship between Edward and Alice strengthen as well.

And as for other extracurricular activities, Ashley has plans to improve her strength and stamina in readiness for those action scenes.

She says, “They had us do this tap class before [Twilight] so that kind of jolted my memory.

“Before the second film I’m going to take some dance classes to get back into that. Alice is a thin girl so there was a lot of cardio.”

MTV talks with Ashley Greene about the success of Twilight.

It was a busy weekend in the MTV/Twilight-verse as we chased down secret parties and events all timed to celebrate the DVD release of ‘Twilight.” It’s no surprise that the fans came out in force for the long-awaited release but the numbers are still pretty impressive.

MTV: Ashley Greene At DVD Release Party

MTV Movies Blog has an article about the DVD Release Party that Ashley Green attended in LA.

At 6:30, I eyeballed the crowd outside Hot Topic, already several hundred deep. When I found them (and my dependable cameraman Erick) after the movie at 9:00, they were twice as deep. As we went around grabbing fans for interviews, we discovered that word had gotten out: Apparently, some celebrity news show had posted on their website that Ashley Greene was going to be here tonight! Thanks to Twitter, Facebook and all the rest, the word was out.

As the Twilighters chanted down the minutes to midnight as if it were New Year’s Eve, Ashley appeared. They went nuts. She ducked inside the Hot Topic, jumped behind the counter, and started greeting the fans as they picked up their DVD. There were lots of hugs, shrieks, and tears of joy – but enough about me.

You can bid on Ashley Greene’s dress and wear it to prom or a special event! The proceeds from the auction will create grants that the dress drive organizations that are part of the DonateMyDress network can apply for. It will help them run events to collect and distribute dresses to girls who can’t afford them for prom.

Robert Being A ‘Flittering Image’ In New Moon

Ashley on Taylor:
He looks fantastic…I was sitting in the make-up trailer and I looked over and he was taking his shirt off because he was doing a—they were looking for his double—and I was just like, “You’ve got to be joking. You’ve got to be joking.” The girls are going to be very satisfied, I can tell you. It looks like [The] 300!

Ashley about Rob in New Moon:
Of course they threw Rob in there! He comes in as a flittering image to tell Bella not to do anything reckless and then you have him at the very beginning at school, at the party when he’s saying goodbye to her and the flitterring images and in Italy as well, so they’ll get their fix.
