Melissa Rosenberg, the screenwriter of the Twilight movie, answers some Twilight questions at the Austin Film Festival, click read more to watch!
MediaBlvd> Edi, how did you tap into your inner vampire? Do you have to get into a mood?
Edi> Everything is delicious to me. I made personal choices for my vampire that I won’t talk about, but they were all humans, at one point, who got turned. The difference is that they’re just faster, stronger and they don’t die. They live forever. What happens when you can’t die? You have to figure out things to do to entertain yourself because you’re not sleeping. Laurent is kind of a party guy. I think my vampire just wants to know where the action is because he’s bored.
MediaBlvd> What was it like working with Kristen Stewart? Did you guys form a bond on set?
Taylor> Kristen’s awesome! She’s an amazing actress and she’s an awesome girl. She’s a lot of fun.
MediaBlvd> Did they make you darker for the film?
Taylor> No, it’s just me. They definitely add a wig, but not the darker skin.

Facinelli: It wasn’t crazy, but I’ll tell you what I did: I was reading for Carlisle, and I read ["Twilight"] in a day and absolutely loved the book. “What are we allowed to say?” Reed wondered aloud, teasing us while she thought back to the top-secret shoot. “I think all we can say is, there were a few days when there were some weather issues [during the original shoot earlier this year] and some time issues, and a few things that could have been done better. And they were.”
»MediaBlvd has an interview with Stephenie and Catherine Hardwicke.
MediaBlvd> Catherine, how important was it for you to be as true to Stephenie’s creation as you could?
Catherine Hardwicke> The earlier script that they had before was just pretty crazy. Bella was a track star in the first scene. I read it and was like, “This isn’t the girl from the book that I love!” So, everybody wanted to make it as close to the book as possible. The book is long, so we can’t have every scene, but we did the sweetened, condensed milk version.

And finally Gracie wants to know what your philosophy on life is?
Karma, but I don’t mean to just expect good to come from your good deeds, but to be prepared for the inevitable low points of life. Good and Bad exist on the same plane and it is our plight as humans to experience both. “Be still and know”, because even in the darkest times, the light will find you.
