Twilighters.org got the chance to participate in a conference call interview with the cast from New Moon! This is the first part of the interview series, with the humans from New Moon, Christian Serratos (Angela), Justin Chon (Erik), Anna Kendrick (Jessica) and Michael Welch (Mike). Other fansites on the call were the Twilight Lexicon, His Golden Eyes, Twilight Examiner, Twilight Series Theories, Twilight Facebook, Twilight Moms, Twilighters Anonymous, Twilight Superfan, Twilight Source/Imprint, and Bella and Edward.

Q: In New Moon you have a kind of love triangle going on. I’m curious to see how that ended up playing out for you.

Michael Welch: There are a couple of different love triangles there. There’s obviously the one between Bella and Jacob and Edward that Mike is trying to squeeze into. More of a love rectangle. And I guess there’s the one between Mike and Jessica and Bella. You know, Jessica likes Mike. Mike likes Bella. Everybody likes Bella. And it sort of doesn’t turn out great for Mike or Jessica. A lot of this is very indicative of high school heart ache in general, but it’s sort of heightened with these supernatural characters.

Q: Both of you have a background in theatre. I wanted to know how that has helped you with your roles for Twilight and New Moon?

Anna Kendrick: Well on a logistical note, there was a scene when Jessica and Bella go to the movies, when we were shooting that outside there were like hundreds of girls standing and watching as we shot it. It was just a nice tool to have experience in front of a live audience. It seems like a silly comparison, but honestly it helped to kind of block out the fact that all these fans were watching us and to try to just focus on the scene and ignore the fact that they’re all kind of videotaping us from the side lines.

Q: What was your favorite scene to shoot?

Mickael Welch: My favorite scene by far was the kind of three way date that happened between Mike and Bella and Jacob. That horribly awkward moment when Mike asks Bella out to the movies and she tries to turn it into a group thing and then it ends up being the worst case scenario which is that that three way thing. You know, I’m sure it was certainly not a lot of fun for Mike to go through. I mean, I can relate, as I’m sure a lot of us can, but it was a lot of fun to do.

Anna Kendrick: And I would have to say that there is a scene where Jessica and Bella go to the movies. That was fun because Jessica really likes to talk about herself and Bella is really depressed. She’s not saying much. We were just kind of trying to do it all in one take, and Chris told me to just keep talking until we came to a natural stop. So I stopped and just kind of monologued as flighty, silly Jessica which was a blast.

Q: Does having different directors and different visions for different movies cause any confusion for how you should play your character?

Michael Welch: I think that the directors that we’ve had are very different in terms of style and process, but there seems to be a singular vision in terms of our characters. Everyone seems to be pretty unanimous about it, and that basically is that we are there to add levity to the franchise and to just represent normalcy in Bella’s life. Represent just kind of a real high school experience to give the story some grounding so that people are able to believe the more supernatural fantasy elements.

Sure, New Moon’s vampires and werewolves may get all the attention, but it’s Bella’s gang of high school friends who keep the movie centered in reality. Anna Kendrick, Michael Welch, Justin Chon and Christian Serratos (who play Jessica, Mike, Eric and Angela, respectively) talk about providing the franchise’s comic relief and keeping it real as mortals amongst all the supernatural shenanigans.

Unlike Twilight, which was shot in Portland, you shot New Moon in Vancouver. What was that like?

Justin: The weather’s actually been better here. Portland was very, very, very cold and rainy. It’s a little bit nicer here.

Anna: One of the freaky things about shooting New Moon in a different location than Portland was the re-creation of things, like the high school parking lot. It was like déjà vu because we were in a different country but they completely recreated the parking lot from the school we shot at before.

If you weren’t playing humans, which would you prefer to play: a vampire or a werewolf?

Anna: I would personally rather be a werewolf since they seem to get to have a lot more fun. The vampires are very cool, but they have to be very calm and collected all the time. The werewolves get to let loose a little bit more.

Michael: I’d much rather play a vampire. Being a vampire would be cool, I think, for the first 100 years or so. It’d be fun to be able to play because vampires are just too cool; they’re just sexy and interesting and complicated.

Christian: I’d play a wolf. I’d play Leah, ’cause she’s sassy.

As Twilight’s reluctant bloodsucker, Vanity Fair’s December cover star has made teenage girls (and their mothers) swoon. To accompany Evgenia Peretz’s profile, which addresses Pattinson’s relationship with co-star Kristen Stewart and Hollywood’s doubts about casting him as Edward Cullen, VF.com presents the first of four slide shows featuring outtakes from his epic session with photographer Bruce Weber.

Fox Phoenix interviewed hottie Alex Marez. He talks about his role as Paul, filming in Vancouver, shirtless scenes, New Moon and Eclipse movie:

Jamie Campell Bower (Ciaus in The Twilight Saga: New Moon) was at the Sitges Film Festival in Spain this weekend and he had a chance to answer some questions regarding his role in the highly anticipated Twilight Saga: New Moon and Deathly Hallows!

Are you ready to face the phenomenon of fans as massive as the inherent ‘Twilight’?
“I’m prepared for anything, I’ll take it as it comes. In fact do not consider myself a celebrity and I do not understand what is going on. It is an honor that people want to take pictures with me and ask me for autographs, but for me it is incomprehensible. ”

Jen from the TwilightLexicon got the chance to interview Gil Birmingham (Billy Black) about his music.

Q: What are the inspirations for your lyrics and music?

My music comes from the emotional place I’m in when I write it. It’s an outpouring of the soul of those emotions through the guitar.

What genre does your music generally fit into?

My music is classic rock and blues for the most part.

The interview also includes an MP3 of his original guitar solo called “A Walk in the Park.” Read it all HERE!

BoxOffice.com had a chance to interview hottie Taylor Lautner about the Twilight Saga movies and more:

BoxOffice: As an actor, how do you make the audience root for Jacob and get invested in his feelings when the outcome of the love triangle is already known?

Taylor: Well, you try and take things one step at a time. When I’m filming New Moon, I’m not thinking about Eclipse. When I’m filming Eclipse, I’m not thinking about Breaking Dawn. We just have to focus on the movie that we’re doing.

BoxOffice: What is it like for your family and friends to see people scream at pictures of you topless?

Taylor: [Laughs] It’s weird. It’s embarrassing for me, and I’m sure it’s awkward for all of them.

BoxOffice: Have you gotten teased about it at family dinners?

Taylor: Not yet, and I’m hoping that doesn’t happen because I’ll start blushing.

BoxOffice: What do you like about playing Jacob?

Taylor: I love Jacob and Bella’s relationship. It’s very different from Edward and Bella’s. Jacob and Bella start off as really good friends. They become best friends—they can tell each other anything, they do whatever together, ride motorcycles. I love that. And then their relationship starts growing into more and more, and you wonder if they’re going to go past friends. I love being able to do that. And work with an amazing actress, Kristen Stewart, and all of the help around us, our director Chris Weitz, the whole crew. It’s a lot of fun.

The Collider interviewed Michael Sheen (Aro) about his upcoming projects:

So going into “Twilight: New Moon”, were you nervous about taking this role because you had already come from a franchise like that, or were you more excited for the role? What was your thought process and what was it like making the film with all the hubbub around it?

Michael Sheen: I was mainly excited about it because I knew I would make my daughter very happy. Up front, that was the main reason. And then I read the books and I really enjoyed the books. I didn’t think I was going to, but I really did enjoy them. Then I was concerned that the fans of “Twilight” would be like, “But he’s played a werewolf; we can’t have him as a vampire,” and all that. But it hasn’t been like that. And because it was a very different character and I could sort of lose myself in it, hopefully people won’t have a problem with me having been in this other werewolf/vampire franchise. So when I went to do it, I just loved the character. I relished the opportunity to be there and be part of it. Now I’m just very pleased to have a whole new generation of people I can scare.
