TwilightLexicon Interviews Gil Birmingham

Jen from the TwilightLexicon got the chance to interview Gil Birmingham (Billy Black) about his music.

Q: What are the inspirations for your lyrics and music?

My music comes from the emotional place I’m in when I write it. It’s an outpouring of the soul of those emotions through the guitar.

What genre does your music generally fit into?

My music is classic rock and blues for the most part.

The interview also includes an MP3 of his original guitar solo called “A Walk in the Park.” Read it all HERE!

BoxOffice Interviews Taylor Lautner

BoxOffice.com had a chance to interview hottie Taylor Lautner about the Twilight Saga movies and more:

BoxOffice: As an actor, how do you make the audience root for Jacob and get invested in his feelings when the outcome of the love triangle is already known?

Taylor: Well, you try and take things one step at a time. When I’m filming New Moon, I’m not thinking about Eclipse. When I’m filming Eclipse, I’m not thinking about Breaking Dawn. We just have to focus on the movie that we’re doing.

BoxOffice: What is it like for your family and friends to see people scream at pictures of you topless?

Taylor: [Laughs] It’s weird. It’s embarrassing for me, and I’m sure it’s awkward for all of them.

BoxOffice: Have you gotten teased about it at family dinners?

Taylor: Not yet, and I’m hoping that doesn’t happen because I’ll start blushing.

BoxOffice: What do you like about playing Jacob?

Taylor: I love Jacob and Bella’s relationship. It’s very different from Edward and Bella’s. Jacob and Bella start off as really good friends. They become best friends—they can tell each other anything, they do whatever together, ride motorcycles. I love that. And then their relationship starts growing into more and more, and you wonder if they’re going to go past friends. I love being able to do that. And work with an amazing actress, Kristen Stewart, and all of the help around us, our director Chris Weitz, the whole crew. It’s a lot of fun.

Michael Sheen Talks New Moon

The Collider interviewed Michael Sheen (Aro) about his upcoming projects:

So going into “Twilight: New Moon”, were you nervous about taking this role because you had already come from a franchise like that, or were you more excited for the role? What was your thought process and what was it like making the film with all the hubbub around it?

Michael Sheen: I was mainly excited about it because I knew I would make my daughter very happy. Up front, that was the main reason. And then I read the books and I really enjoyed the books. I didn’t think I was going to, but I really did enjoy them. Then I was concerned that the fans of “Twilight” would be like, “But he’s played a werewolf; we can’t have him as a vampire,” and all that. But it hasn’t been like that. And because it was a very different character and I could sort of lose myself in it, hopefully people won’t have a problem with me having been in this other werewolf/vampire franchise. So when I went to do it, I just loved the character. I relished the opportunity to be there and be part of it. Now I’m just very pleased to have a whole new generation of people I can scare.

Edi Gathegi Interview

Radar Online has an exclusive interview with Edi Gathegi to discuss New Moon.

Radar: What was filming New Moon like?
Gathegi: There weren’t that many people on set this time. My big scene was with Bella. It wasn’t like the same crazy, everybody’s around dinner situation. It was still wonderful; it was nice to be able to sink my teeth into my character a little more. I think it’s going to be really great.

Radar: How scary is your scene?
Gathegi: Let’s just put it this way. I told Stephenie Meyer that my goal would be to scare every 14 year-old girl, and she looked at me and said “Edi, you’re so sweet and you have such a little baby face, no one is going to be scared of you at all.” Then she saw the movie and the dailies said, “OK Edi, you scared me!” And I said “That means a lot coming from you,” especially since she told me I wasn’t even going to be able to BE scary!

Q&A With Anna Kendrick

HITFIX talked to Anna Kendrick at the Toronto International Film Festival about movies she has been in and will be in.

Q: OK, the ‘Twilight’ questions you knew were coming. Did you shoot ‘Air’ after ‘New Moon’

[Actually] I went to shoot ‘New Moon’ while I was still shooting ‘Up in the Air.’ I had to run back and forth.

Q: Was that hard?

It’s funny because the characters are so different and I was wrapped up in Natalie world, but Jessica, the character that I play in the series, is such a silly girl it was almost like a little escape to go and just play and just monologue about nothing. Basically, I would go up to Vancouver and shoot a scene where something was [already] written, but [director] Chris Weitz would tell me to keep talking because we had to do all of it in one take as a ‘walk and talk’ and have it feel the space. So, he’d just tell me to say random stuff and it was like stretching in the middle of doing a marathon.

Death Cab For Cutie Leaning Towards Team Jacob?

MTV had an interview with Death Cab for Cutie about their upcoming single in the New Moon Soundtrack

“I think they’re still trying to find a place for the song in the film,” DCFC frontman Ben Gibbard laughed. “We keep hearing either the beginning or end … we have about as much information about this movie as [MTV] viewers do. We wrote a song for the thing and we don’t know what’s going on. So I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.”

MTV Talks With Jamie Campbell Bower

Jamie Campell Bower talks to MTV about New Moon and Harry Potter.

MTV: So, Jamie, you told us that you experimented with different accents while working on “New Moon.” Is it safe to say that Caius and the other Volturi will have Italian accents, since they live in Volterra?

Jamie Campbell Bower: Actually, I have an English accent. Because they’re so old — they’re 2,000 years old, these guys — they would’ve tried [everything]. They’re speaking English now, but they wouldn’t have spoken English throughout all of their life. And so there’s sort of a round vowel sound. The R’s are very pronounced. It’s kind of strange. It’s almost medieval, the way we speak.

TV: What’s the one scene in “New Moon” you most enjoyed filming?

Campbell Bower: Well, there’s a particular scene where we rip this guy apart, and I just sit there smiling and really enjoying it. When I got the script, I was like, “That’s the one I want to do the most!,” because there’s nothing to say. It’s really sordid, gross and really grim — that was pretty fun.
