No Muse on Eclipse Soundtrack

Dose.ca has a new interview with the band’s Dominic Howard where they found out Muse will not be in the New Moon soundtrack. They even had a song inmind for it that they said would have fit Edward and Bella well. Read the whole article here!
“Oh, it’s nothing to do with Stephenie, she’s totally cool,” says Howard, beginning to explain how Muse have potentially broken their Twilight hat-trick. “It’s the people in the movie business, completely outside of the writers and the creative types, the non-creative types I suppose are the people who are quite hard to deal with in Hollywood, so it didn’t work out.”
New Moon song gets Oscar Nod
Today the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (a.k.a. the people who put on The Academy Awards every year) announced their shortlist of nominees for Best Original Song. Lykke Li’s “Possibility” from “New Moon” was included on the list. (Press play below to hear Lykke describe why the song was perfect for the movie.)
But before Twilighters start celebrating their first potential Oscar nominatio), a bit of perspective should be laid out. The “shortlist” rings in at 63 songs, which makes us think the long list must have comprised of just about every song included in a film this year.

Twilight Soundtrack Gets Grammy Nomination

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards Nominations have been announced and the Twilight Soundtrack is up for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture. Soundtrack artists, Paramore, are also nominated for Best Song Written For Motion Picture with last year’s smash hit ‘Decode’.
