A limited number of tickets to the Volturi Masque Ball have been placed on sale; $99 provides an evening to remember at the signature event of the Dallas fan convention.
Organizers of TwiCon – a convention dedicated to and inspired by the Twilight series of books by Stephenie Meyer – have announced that a limited number of tickets are now on sale for the Volturi Masque Ball – the Saturday night signature event at next summer’s fan fest, expected to be the largest of the Twilight-inspired conventions. More than 2,500 devotees of the Twilight series are projected to purchase full-convention passes for the Dallas-based TwiCon 2009, which will be held July 30-Aug. 2, 2009. A reconfiguration of the main ballroom has allowed for a limited number of fans to purchase $99 tickets to the individual event – and once they’re gone, it will only be open to those who have tickets for the full convention. Visit Twicon.org for all the details.
Twilight’s success was mentioned on this book companies site:
“…and of course Stephenie Meyer have made for a great summer season. We sold almost 2000 of the Stephenie Meyer new release Breaking Dawn, and the earlier volumes have been flying off the shelf as well.”

Newsday has an article about how not all authors are against movie adaptations of their stories. Stephenie talks about her reaction to a steamy scene between Bella and Edward. Read it here!
“While watching the playback from a very intense scene with Bella and Edward, the girl next to me literally slid right out of her chair,” Meyer said. “I think her bones melted. She also may have stopped breathing for a few seconds… I know I did.”
With only 51 days remaining until their dream comes true, “Twilight” fans around the world are finally beginning to hear details about the soundtrack that will accompany their beloved film.
