MTV brings us an interview with screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg for this weeks Twilight Tuesday!

MTV: The “Twilight” fanbase is beloved for their enthusiasm. What kind of craziness have you witnessed since you took on the gig?

Melissa Rosenberg: I went to my niece’s bat mitzvah recently out in Tucson [Arizona]. It was a very small ceremony and a very small group of people. She’s 13, and she had a couple of her friends there … and she mentioned to them, “Oh, this is my Aunt Melissa and she wrote ‘Twilight.’ ” Suddenly I had these just fantastic girls [saying], “Oh my God!” They were just thrilled and asked for my autograph on a napkin!

Peter Facinelli Talks Vampire Baseball!

Facinelli admitted that the “Twilight” movie team faced some obstacles condensing Stephenie Meyer’s big fat novel into a 120-page screenplay. “Over 500 pages are in the book, so you can’t fit every single detail in,” he explained. “And some details will be different. Stephenie Meyer is very detail-oriented, to the point where she describes clothes in the scene! So, sometimes it’s not going to be as detailed or as specific as the book. There will be subtle differences, but the essence is there.”

MTV Movies Blog asks, “If a Twilight star were standing next to you, what would you ask them?”

…At first glance, Nikki Reed and Rosalie Hale seem to have a lot in common. But when we visited the set of “Twilight” and caught up with the most well-known actor in the up-and-coming cast, the amiable 20-year-old was quick to point out where the bloodsucking stops and the flesh-and-blood begins. In a candid conversation about her fears, love and longtime friendship with “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke, Reed reminded MTV News about the acting talent behind the highly anticipated December flick.

Only 10 more days (and one more “Twilight” Tuesday!) until the release of “Breaking Dawn,” gang. And while most of you will be standing in massive lines at your local bookstore and participating in sure-to-be heated debates over Edward vs. Jacob, some lucky Twilighters will find themselves at the very epicenter of the fan frenzy that evening: New York’s launch of Stephenie Meyer’s book tour.

A few weeks back, MTV News announced that Meyer and Blue October frontman Justin Furstenfeld will be joining forces for a groundbreaking series of events combining her prose, his tunes, and the fan enthusiasm for both. Today, in addition to the brand-new Nikki Reed interview that just went live over on MTV.com, we’re offering fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to speak directly to the “Twilight” mastermind herself.

When Stephenie takes the stage for the sold-out show on August 1st, she’ll be escorted by MTV News’ “Twilight” superfan Kim Stolz, who will serve as moderator and be asking more questions than Bella after Edward stopped the van from crushing her.

For the next 48 hours, the MTV Movies Blog will be accepting the questions that will be read on stage. We are your exclusive home for this opportunity, and want to use the crème de la crème of queries, so we humbly make three requests:

- Come up with a really good question and post it in the comments section below.
- Don’t repeat someone else’s question, as we’ll only use the name of the first poster.
- Please, only one question per person.

Stephenie Meyer herself will be reading over all the posted comments in the next few days, and personally selecting her favorites.

Since she wants to give fans from all over the world the opportunity to have their questions answered (even if you can’t be in NYC that evening), the event will be broadcast live on iClips.net, and fans should stay tuned to MTV and its Web sites for full coverage of the event.

Oh, and one other request: Stephenie can’t answer any spoiler questions about “Breaking Dawn,” or any “what if” questions that would have her commenting on what might happen in the book. So please, keep in mind that Stephenie will only select questions that will ensure a fun, memorable, but “spoiler-safe” event

I knew I must be patient with Edward. It wasn’t that he was unreasonable, it was just that he didn’t understand. He had no idea how very much I owed Jacob Black — my life many times over, and possibly my sanity, too. — Bella Swan, Eclipse | Chapter 1
