From Collider [Article HERE]

But when I had the opportunity to ask Robert Pattinson the last question at today’s press junket, I made the most of it. I asked him if he has been told of a tentative time he might film “Breaking Dawn”? He replied:

“I think the tentative time for “Breaking Dawn” is fall next year. They may well change that.”

What you need to realize is many things change. Perhaps “New Moon” doesn’t do as well at the box office as the first “Twilight” movie. Or perhaps they can’t get the script right. While things might change, Pattinson’’s statement of fall 2010 is the first time anyone in the cast has admitted there is a plan.

From Fearnet [Article HERE]

Answering the last question of the day, Rob shared his shooting schedule for 2010 – including, at least for now, filming the novel adaptation Bel Ami, the western Unbound Captives, and yes, Breaking Dawn.

“I think the tentative time for Breaking Dawn is fall of next year,” Pattinson said, adding that Summit “may well change that.”

Of course, Breaking Dawn remains officially unconfirmed by Summit. Even screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg was mum on the subject when we spoke with her earlier this month. The hesitation concerning Breaking Dawn may involve the mature nature of its plot points and the rumored possibility of dividing it into two separate films. But if Pattinson’s penciling Breaking Dawn into his schedule, then so are we.

The Twilight Lexicon has made a list of Breaking Dawn rumors

There are a ton of rumors swirling around the making of Breaking Dawn, so we thought we’d run them down for you.

1. Boo Boo Stewart (Seth) mentioned that he is signed to the current movie, Eclipse, plus an additional two. This lead to speculation that Breaking Dawn would be split into two parts. The studio issued a statement to Access Hollywood that, “We appreciate our young actor’s enthusiasm for the franchise and his role, but his comments about the number of films were unfortunately uninformed and not accurate; however, the fans should rest assured the we’re working with Stephenie Meyer to bring ‘Breaking Dawn’ to the big screen.” and then Boo Boo’s reps stated that he only meant to talk about the first movie. So where did Boo Boo’s extra movies come from? Lots of times actors are standardly signed to a three movie deal regarding whatever project they make so the studio has them if the project takes off for sequels. For example, it’s how Pirates of the Caribbean II and II was made, the actors were signed to a three picture deal. When the first one unexpectedly took off, they were onboard for two more.

2. The Breaking Dawn tab on the Summit Official world of Twilight website would seem to indicate that the studio has acquired the rights to the film, (otherwise huge oops for lisiting something you don’t have the rights to). It could be at any stage of developement.

You’ve might’ve heard from various gossip sites about an author named Jordan Scott accusing Stephenie Meyer of plagiarizing Breaking Dawn.

The Twilight Lexicon has done some research in the matter and have a great explanation of why the accusation couldn’t be true:

First let us start out by saying that we are completely biased here. We have been online as a Stephenie Meyer fansite since March 2006. And because of our relationship built over three years with Stephenie Meyer, we have no reason to doubt her word. So when the story first broke today on TMZ, we decided to two do several things:

1. We looked at the version of the book in question that is available online
2. We asked Little Brown the publishing company for an official response
3. We started to research Ms. Scott herself

So we wrote up our preliminary findings here. Now what we found particularly interesting is that the attorney involved then decided to give a follow up to MTV. That’s right, MTV. It’s a unique tactic first TMZ now MTV. Could it be that he has something for initials, or is it possibly that those sites generally have a target audience that mirrors the demographic Ms. Scott’s novel and career are directed towards? Oh heck, maybe it’s just sheer coincidence.

As many of you know, much of Breaking Dawn came from Stephenie’s first sequel she wrote to Twilight called Forever Dawn….

Stephenie Meyer’s four-book Twilight series has sunk its fangs into USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list — with no signs of letting go. Meyer’s domination of the list for the past 12 months has smashed records that until now had belonged to J.K. Rowling.

Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in the teen-vampire romance series, entered the list at No. 1 on Aug. 2, 2008. Its sales and those of Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, the first three books, have remained staggering.

This week, Meyer’s novels are Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 7 on USA TODAY’s list.

Rowling, overall, has sold more books than Meyer — her seven-book series about boy wizard Harry Potter has 143 million copies in print in the USA, while Meyer has sold 40 million copies of her four books. But Rowling can’t match Meyer’s control of the list.

Breaking Dawn and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the two authors’ fourth installments, entered the list at No. 1, but Meyer’s series has had more staying power.

They haven’t even released a second movie yet, but already there’s talk of a fourth. TheWrap.com reported earlier today that Summit Entertainment was deep in the planning stages for Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer’s hugely successful Twilight series. But not so fast, says Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, whose still working on her script for Eclipse, the third in the teen vamp franchise (the second, New Moon, is currently shooting in Vancouver). “The most I’ve heard from Summit is ‘re-read it and start thinking about it,’” says Rosenberg, who is completing her show-running duties on the fourth season of the Showtime series Dexter. More telling, she hasn’t yet received one of the manifestos Meyer famously puts together before Rosenberg begins turning one of her books into a movie.

“Breaking Dawn” has reportedly gotten the green light by Summit Entertainment, as the fourth movie in the “Twilight” saga, according to TheWrap.com, although a rep for Summit Entertainment, the film’s producer, told MTV News late Monday afternoon that the report is untrue.

TheWrap.com reports that a source close to the film’s production said that “Breaking Dawn” will start shooting in the spring of 2010.

“Breaking Dawn” would follow production of the third “Twilight” film, “Eclipse,” which Drew Barrymore recently revealed she won’t be directing. Chris Weitz replaced Catherine Hardwicke on “New Moon,” and it is widely believed that Juan Antonio Bayona will tackle “Eclipse,” although a director has yet to be confirmed by Summit.
