“I love everything that’s come out of it,” he said of his role as Emmett Cullen in the “Twilight” series. “It’s really unique to do a project and not have any expectations of it, and then have it do as well as it did. It’s amazing to be a part of it.”

Every family needs a comedian, and Kellan said that he is eager to continue his friendship with the Cullen kin. “We really are quite a family,” he grinned. “Especially with having a lot of us based out of L.A., we all get to hang out and meet up. We do poker nights at Peter’s house, and Rob lives a couple blocks from me, so we always hang out. Ashley and I have always been close friends, and the same with Jackson.”

They also have a new New Moon page, there’s not much there right now but I expect there will be in the not so distant future.

MTV posted the last Twilight Tuesday with Director Catherine Hardwicke!

“It’s pretty crazy; it’s pretty cool,” she said of the record-breaking opening for her fourth film as a director, “Twilight,” this past weekend. “When I think that we’re going to be bigger than the biggest [James] Bond opening weekend? That blows my mind!”

Hardwicke spent Monday afternoon recording a commentary track in Hollywood for the spring 2009 “Twilight” DVD, alongside her lead actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. As soon as she was finished, however, she rushed over to MTV to bid a temporary farewell to our weekly ritual that has spent a year tracking the film from small-budget cult flick to certified blockbuster.

With only seventeen days left until “Twilight” hits a theater near you, the actors are already beginning to reap the fringe benefits of their newfound fame. This week’s “Twilight” Tuesday catches up with Kellan Lutz, who freely admits that his recent gig starring in the upcoming video for Hinder’s “Without You” came his way after the band started hearing about his “Twilight” buzz. MTV News will be holding a very special “Twilight” event in Los Angeles on November 7th, as we tape a television special celebrating the much-anticipated movie. “Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and director Catherine Hardwicke will be in attendance to address the crowd, and they’ll premiere never-before-seen footage from the movie some two weeks before it hits theaters. Hardwicke will also take questions from attendees during a Q & A session.
